Pictures and text – what a magical combination for the classroom! This is the course to explore the many opportunities to use picturebooks (primary) and graphic novels/comics (secondary) to develop communication and empathy, explore a variety of themes to engage our learners, increase critical and creative thinking skills…and have a whole heap of fun!
In this course, we’ll:
- explore the magical world of images and text and how this engages young learners
- learn how to implement this magic in the classroom with practical lesson ideas
- create lessons based on picturebook and graphic novels/comics
This is a 6 hour course.
