Teaching through Drama in the Primary, Secondary and Adult EFL Classroom

Release your inner thespian and that of your students on this wonderfully creative and fun course. Encourage language learners of all levels to develop their spoken fluency in a creative, imaginative and memorable way! This is a great course for those teachers who work in low-resource contexts.

Course aims:

By the end of the course, participants will be better able to:

  • Explore the Theatre of the Oppressed and related drama strategies to encourage motivation and participation in the English Language classroom
  • Explore the Mantle of the Expert Approach and story-telling to engage students in skills work
  • Explore improvisation techniques to develop students’ spoken fluency and reflect on language feedback techniques
