As we progress in our career as teachers, there comes a time when the next step is moving into training. How can we be better equipped to take this next step and give the best to our teachers? What are the ingredients to being an effective teacher trainer? And how can we really empower our teachers in their development? All these, and more, will be explored in our interactive session.
Course aims:
By the end of the course, participants will be better able to:
- Explore the components of effective teacher training and teacher mentoring (including examining our own beliefs)
- Give balanced and empowering feedback to teachers
- Design training sessions to meet teacher needs
- Empower teachers to take control of their own professional development by learning exploratory classroom practice
